AU Information
AU Name: Tighnari Avidya
AU Age: Turned at 25, has been a vampire for 20 years, making him 45 years old in total.
Physical Differences: Most notably, Tighnari's fox features (ears, tail, toebeans, etc) would all have been lost upon his humanization, but he has retrieved them thanks to having taken Blue Court classes and learning to mask from a Blue Court vampire.
AU History: Tighnari was born to two human thralls in the Silver Court lands. His parents were bred specifically for their intelligence, to raise a child who would then be groomed to be a vampire from a very young age. He was certainly no disappointment, for from a very young age Tighnari was clearly quite clever, learning from his parents at first, and then from the vampires who took him in around when he came of age at ten years old. Though he showed interest in many different topics, the biological sciences were especially fascinating to him, and by the time he was in his teens he was a master of botany and mycology, lauded by his tutors. It would seem that the Silver Court vampires had indeed groomed a perfect human specimen to later join their ranks.
As a child he was a voracious reader, and he spent a great deal of time in the libraries as well as out in the field, working beside Silver Court vampires to study plants and fungi in their natural state, and learn the arts of alchemy and healing (ordinary healing, with the use of herbs and fungi, not any sort of 'magical' healing. Just before the age of ten, when he was out on his own studying ferns with the magnifying glass his mother had given him, Tighnari was struck by lightning, and very nearly killed. The vampires were horrified, worried that their hard work in raising this human thrall had nearly gone to waste, so they tore him from his parents earlier than expected in order to keep their time investment safe.
At first, the child mourned his parents and home, and he acted out quite a bit, sassing his vampire masters and attempting to run away to his home again. In retaliation, his human parents were killed in a effort to both punish his disobedience, and cut off his escape route, giving him no more home to return to. Tighnari behaved, after that, at least for the most part. He grew up with a pair of female vampires after that, who continued his education personally and did their best to tame the unruly child.
Then, like all young humans aspiring to be vampires, he attended the school. Handpicked by a vampire named Cyrus, a Silver Court scholar who became his maker, Tighnari attended classes at the castle, excelling in every subject without issue, though unsurprisingly, the Silver Court's classes came the most easily to him. He also took a few Black Court electives, focusing on Survival especially. Clearly excelling as an aspirant, Tighnari soon celebrated his Becoming, and was turned to a fully fledged vampire at the age of 25, after which he immediately took on a teaching position. Notably, thanks to his Blue Court classes, and his friendship with Edward Teach, Tighnari learned to mask quite well, choosing to keep fennec foxish features - long furred ears and a tail to match his hair, as well as padded hands and feet, and soft fur where he would have body hair. He could not explain why, but these features simply felt right to him, as if they belonged there, and he was most comfortable with them as opposed to without them.
After becoming a teacher, he then spent the next twenty years in his position, instructing Silver Court classes and tending to the greenhouses, where he developed and honed many species of flora and fungi, and worked his alchemy.
AU Personality: Tighnari's personality will not be much different, but there will be notable changes for certain, given the harsh reality of growing up in a society like this one. Though he's generally a very kind and warm individual in canon - and he still is, in AU - there's a sharper, darker edge to him now, and a quiet sense of rebellion. In canon, he lived quite a nice, normal life, raised by loving parents and given an excellent education, but in this verse, having lost his parents early to be instead raised by vampires, Tighnari has developed more of a fierce, self-protective edge, his customary sass a bit more rapier sharp than it otherwise might be. He doesn't grow as close to people as he otherwise might have in canon verse, and he's arguably more at peace with the idea of killing, though he rarely takes a life when he feeds. He still respects all life, and feels it all has a place in the world, though he simultaneously accepts that he must take blood to feed himself.

He loves research and learning, and devours new information related to his favorite topics with fervor and zeal, and he's good at it, as well. He was well known for his intelligence and devotion to his studies, and very popular among his peers for his skill in academia.
