[ It's not too long before Ori follows suit, falling in to a deep sleep during which her tail comes to curl around them both, and though hers isn't soft and fluffy like his, it's almost like another arm embracing him.
Adventurers' habits die hard, however. Ori finds herself waking again not too many hours later, as if it's her turn to keep watch. It's not entirely unheard of here for them to be roused in the middle of the night to play some twisted game, but at least this time all seems calm; and so she allows herself those quiet moments of simply watching Tighnari as he slumbers soundly on her, his tail twitching now and then, soft, precious little noises bubbling up from his throat.
Spirits, if she could do everything in her power to make sure no harm would ever come to him again, especially having seen him injured and impaled when those cages crashed... She would have done as much anyway because she cares about him greatly as a friend, but now...
Blessedly, she manages to fall back asleep after some time. But it does mean that whenever Tighnari finally wakes, she's fast, fast asleep. ]

he'd slept so deeply that he feels groggy, his body heavy and slow, and it takes a moment for the memory to all return, slowly but surely. the snow, the mistletoe, ori coming to his door, and into his arms - tighnari inhales, and it's filled with the scent of her skin; a slow smile curves his mouth.
leaning back, tighnari shifts onto his side, one arm looped over her middle, and he thoughtlessly, effortlessly nudges his nose against her cheek, his purr rumbling, his eyes closing again as he hums and kisses her jaw. ]
[ She stirs just the slightest when his ears tickle her nose, but she groans softly and turns her head a touch, as if to silently ask for five more minutes - but soon enough his shifting around her bids her to slowly wake. ]

it feels so easy to lie here with her. part of tighnari was a little bit worried that the next morning might bring awkwardness or uncertainty, but he's quite content, quite happy that she's still here with him, beside him, warm and welcome. his thumb moves in slow circles against the soft swell of her hip, and tighnari smiles, loose and languid, his eyes heavily hooded. he's so damned fond of her. ]

It's not entirely unheard of here for them to be roused in the middle of the night to play some twisted game, but at least this time all seems calm; and so she allows herself those quiet moments of simply watching Tighnari as he slumbers soundly on her, his tail twitching now and then, soft, precious little noises bubbling up from his throat.
Spirits, if she could do everything in her power to make sure no harm would ever come to him again, especially having seen him injured and impaled when those cages crashed... She would have done as much anyway because she cares about him greatly as a friend, but now...
Blessedly, she manages to fall back asleep after some time. But it does mean that whenever Tighnari finally wakes, she's fast, fast asleep. ]

he'd slept so deeply that he feels groggy, his body heavy and slow, and it takes a moment for the memory to all return, slowly but surely. the snow, the mistletoe, ori coming to his door, and into his arms - tighnari inhales, and it's filled with the scent of her skin; a slow smile curves his mouth.
leaning back, tighnari shifts onto his side, one arm looped over her middle, and he thoughtlessly, effortlessly nudges his nose against her cheek, his purr rumbling, his eyes closing again as he hums and kisses her jaw. ]

[ And then comes the purring, that precious, feather light kiss to her jaw. It's a wonderful way to wake up, she thinks. She is similarly groggy, her voice scratchy and soft, her eyelids heavy with sleepiness as she gazes down at him and lifts one hand to gently clasp at the arm of his that's draped across her. ]

it feels so easy to lie here with her. part of tighnari was a little bit worried that the next morning might bring awkwardness or uncertainty, but he's quite content, quite happy that she's still here with him, beside him, warm and welcome. his thumb moves in slow circles against the soft swell of her hip, and tighnari smiles, loose and languid, his eyes heavily hooded. he's so damned fond of her. ]

[ with a low grunt, tighnari arches his back in a stretch, his spine popping several times. ]

She watches him stretch, hears the way his spine pops, and she can't help but chuckle. ]
I slept well, but these beds aren't really made for two people to sleep on, are they?
[ Waking up in the middle of the night can still constitute as a nice Long Rest, apparently.
Still, she's glad she slept here, if nothing else to be able to wake up next to him. It's wonderful, to be next to him like this. It feels easy, and natural. It feels right. She presses in close and hooks a leg over his hip again, almost a bit of a reminder of last night. ]

[ they're crammed in here pretty tight.. it's a good thing neither of them are particularly large people. it's cozy, but not terribly uncomfortably so. tighnari yawns, his fangs flashing, and when her thigh hooks over his hip his hand shifts to glide over it. her torn stockings still cling to it. ]
And I like it, too. I wouldn't have thought..
[ he shakes his head, then smiles again, and tips his chin to kiss her nose, between her eyes, then her forehead, at the base of each horn. ]

I'm glad, too. I thought, maybe... Something like this would be fine for others here, but I never imagined...
[ That she would find someone she simply got along so well with. Someone she would come to trust so deeply. Someone she would find so singularly beautiful and precious and someone she would want to protect as fiercely as she's seen her teammates want to protect their lovers, friends. Now, he is both of those things.
She leaves the rest of her words unspoken, but she knows he'll understand. How could she speak, anyway, with how he's pressing kisses to her features, and her horns - that which has caused her trouble and heartache throughout her life as a tiefling, he so easily showers with affection. Her heart feels like it's about to leap out of her chest. ]

but she hardly needs to ask him twice. tighnari dips his head and, without hesitation, presses their mouths together.
she tastes just as good as she had the night before, and her lips are already beginning to feel familiar. his mouth is opening immediately, his tongue seeking against hers, his hand on her thigh squeezing gently, pulling her against him. her body is so warm, and it isn't long before the air is filled with the soft sounds of their kissing, his tail lashing beneath the blankets, goosebumps rising on his forearms. ]

In gentle conquest, her hands wander and roam over his body, her eyes opening even as they kiss so that she can really see him, now. It had been dark last night, but in the morning light, she wants to appreciate his every feature... Even the ones that others might find unsightly, unsavory. The tips of her fingers trace the lines of his rootlike scars and she gives a mournful little whine into their kiss. How could something so cruel happen to someone so gentle?
Before long, she breaks their kiss, but lingers close enough to mutter against his mouth, ]
