[ tighnari chuckles. ]

Well, I've had every opportunity to mold this place to my liking, so.. I've taken advantage of that.

[ the entire cottage is very tighnari. bookshelves and plants are tucked into every corner, he has a home apothecary bursting with ingredients, and a lovely conservatory greenhouse full of flora of all kinds. but for now, that isn't the topic. he squeezes cyno's hand. ]

.. how much do you know about Valuka Shuna?

[ Cyno likes it. He'd like all of it because Tighnari has created something he likes here. He raises a brow at the question. It's not exactly what he had expected to come. ]

Generally only what you've shared with me.

[ tighnari presses his lips tightly, and weaves their fingers together. ]

Have I told you that once we choose a mate, it is for life?

[ Cyno squeezes as their fingers lace together. His thumb brushes along the side of the others hand. ]

You have not. [ He raises a brow though in interest. ]

[ tighnari's gaze drops, but only briefly. soon he's looking into cyno's eyes again. ]

I've had previous relationships, but I did not choose them as lifetime mates. But you..

[ his face flushes, just slightly, but he's soon clearing his throat and moving forward, one ear flicking. tighnari is nothing if not direct. ]

I think I've always been saving it for you. Of course, I don't mean to put pressure on you. Take your time, thinking about it.

[ Cyno can’t help the flare of jealousy at the thought of Tighnari with anyone else but he can’t really hold it against him at all. But as he comes to the realization of what Tighnari is saying the jealousy dissipates. ]

I don’t need time. You have always been the one.

[ Cyno says, simply stating the fact. He leans in to press a quick kiss to his lips, just because he can. ]

There is no one else.

[ tighnari releases a breath, smiles when cyno kisses him. he hums softly, nudging their noses together, a soft purr beginning to kick up in his chest, rolling, quiet. ]

.. if you're sure. It's a big commitment.

[ Cyno's free hand, cups the other's cheek as their noses brush against one another. The purr making him smile. He tilts his head and presses another kiss before answering. ]

I am sure, Tighnari.

[ tighnari can't help but feel a little.. giddy. this seems to be moving so quickly, but in truth, it's taken them so many years to get to this point. all it took, apparently, was a little time apart, and an entirely new world. ]

All right, then. We'll make it happen.

[ he nudges their noses further together, and tightens his arms around cyno's shoulders, his tail lashing back and forth. ]

My mate..

[ Now that they've decided to go in, they're both all in it seems. It's been a long time coming. Cyno pulls Tighnari closer and smiles at those words. ]

And you're mine.

[ He presses his lips to the other's, slotting their lips together and letting this kiss be a bit hungrier, though still exploratory. ]

[ cyno pulls him in nearer, all but into his lap, and tighnari is smiling as he's kissed, his mouth curving for a moment, before he parts his lips.

kissing cyno.. it feels a little bit like a dream, but also familiar, as if he has been doing this his entire life, as if he's just been waiting for this moment. tighnari hums softly, and tightens his arms around cyno's shoulders, arching his back to press in more closely, his tongue drifting along the line of cyno's lower lip. ]

[ before long, as the other's tongue is tracing along his lip he does lift Tighnari effortlessly into his lap his arms wrapped around his middle and one drops lower, brushing through the fur of his tail. He parts his lips more, his tongue pressing out to slide against Tighnari's getting a fuller taste.

How many times had he longed for this? ]

[ cyno hauls him up into his lap, and tighnari's breath catches fast, his heart skipping up into his throat, his ears folding back against his hair. the touch along his tail earns a soft shiver, and a quiet noise between their mouths.

it's warm, in here. morning sun streams through the tall windows and against their skin, heating tighnari's body, his blood, and when cyno's tongue brushes his own his pulse spikes. ]

Mm..

[ and he delves deeper, dipping his tongue into cyno's mouth, pressing his weight against him. ]

[ The way that the other’s breath catches has Cyno feeling heat flush hotter throughout his body. He curls his fingers into the other’s tail, holding it as the other presses against him. The kiss grows more heated and Tighnari feels everyone of Cyno’s senses. He feels like he could easily lose himself in his best friend... mate and that wouldn’t be so bad.

He groans quietly against the other’s mouth as the other’s tongue presses into his mouth. He can taste coffee and the hint of the spices from their food but more strongly he simply tastes Tighnari and he’s addicted.

The hand that doesn’t have hold of Tighnari’s tail, drags over one of his sides, tugging at his clothes and maybe this is all moving quickly but he wants to have his hands on the other’s bare skin. ]

[ it is moving quickly, but tighnari can't hold cyno's urge to touch against him. they've waited a long time for this, and the moment is so nice, perfect and warm, with the morning sunlight streaming through tall, dusty windows, surrounded by the scent of books and plants and each other.

tighnari is still in his pajamas - loose cotton shorts and an oversized sweatshirt - so when cyno begins to tug, tighnari takes his hand and guides it beneath the hem of his shirt, and against warm, supple skin. though cyno might not like what he finds there.

scars. the usual ones, of course, from his top surgery, and the lingering lichtenberg scar from his lightning strike, but also.. more. three long, wide scars across his abdomen, and another messy puncture scar against his ribs. ]

[ The setting lends itself to a moment like this. He's surrounded by a place that Tighnari has made for himself and he feels right at home, like he belongs here too and like Tighnari belongs on his lap. Their mouths are made for each other. Of course the guy who makes dad jokes is also a bit cheesy in romance.

Cyno's hands press to the warmth of the other's skin. He's seen Tighnari's body plenty of times, tended to him while he was injured even. But there's scars he doesn't know and he knew most of Tighnari's scars and how he'd gotten them. It jolts him out of the moment slightly, his fingers tracing and finding all those new scars. ]

What happened?

[ cyno's fingers skirt against his scars, and tighnari tenses a little, because of course he would have questions. of course he would want to know. tighnari would feel the same. ]

Ah, well..

[ he presses his lips together. ]

Long stories, both of them, but - [ he sweeps his sweatshirt off over his head, casting it aside onto the sofa cushion. ] - long story short, a dragon, and a long fall. Hideous, I know, you'll simply have to put up with them.

[ Cyno's eyes are drawn to the new scars, feeling anger surge again but if Tighnari wanted to give him the full story now he would have. And he ends up more concerned with the way the other refers to them.

He makes a low tsking noise and his fingers return to the scars as he meets Tighnari's eyes. ]

Nothing about you is hideous but I would kill those responsible if I could.

[ Tighnari doesn't deserve suffering, he's had enough. ]

[ tighnari by no means wants to keep the details from cyno, but they're a little bit.. involved, at the moment, and this does not seem like the best time. later. another time. for now, he's pressing close to cyno again. ]

I know you would. I wouldn't stop you.

[ the warden has harmed and killed so many in her cruel, terrible games.. but tighnari presses that thought away, instead kissing along cyno's jaw, nuzzling at his ear, purring deep in his chest. ]

But I'm here, now. I'm all right.

[ Cyno struggles to pull his mind back to the present and not allow the anger to take root. He pushes his focus onto Tighnari's kisses and nuzzling. The purr relaxes and distracts slowly pulling him back to this moment they have together that had been so long in coming. ]

And you're beautiful. And mine.

And yours.

[ a soft chuckle accompanies the purr, as tighnari continues to lavish cyno with love and affection, hoping to distract him (to distract them both) from the scars, and all the pain that came along with them. they're long healed over, now. it's best to move on. to move forward.

tighnari's arms close around cyno's shoulders, squeezing, as he rocks his hips more fully into cyno's lap, head dropping to press into his shoulder. his hands slip beneath cyno's shirt, fingertips splaying against hot, sun-kissed skin. ]

[ There's no completely distracting Cyno from the scars because they are a part of Tighnari's body and he'll accept and pay attention to all of it. But they don't have to talk about them or the past, and if Tighnari ever pushed him away from an area he'd respect it but...

His hands spread over the other's stomach and slowly up his torso, feeling the scars, the muscles, fingertips grazing over nipples.

he groans as the other rocks his hips and presses up into his hips with a thrust upward of his own as his arms wrap around his middle. ]

I'm yours as well.

I know. You always have been.

[ tighnari offers a soft laugh, his hands slipping further up cyno's chest, over warm skin and hard, tight muscle. he's touched cyno plenty of times in the past - friendly gestures, and cleaning up his wounds - but this is very different. his hands are exploring now, touching simply to touch, to feel, and cyno feels.. good, so good, warm as a miniature sun.

he's waited so long for this.

tipping his chin down, he arches into cyno's touch, his blood warming again as tighnari seeks his mouth in another hot kiss, this one a little more greedy than the last. ]

Even before I knew it, huh...

[ Cyno breathes and the other's hands feel like they were made to touch him just as the other's skin is made for his fingers. He can't imagine losing this now that he has it, losing this new level to his relationship with Tighnari.

How has he been so madly in love with him all this time and never seen the signs?

Cyno tightens his arms around Tighnari as he returns the kiss. It's tinged with more desire, something more than lust. He parts his lips and his tongue traces Tighnari's lips before pushing against them to claim his mouth further. Where their hips meet the other can surely feel how hard he is. How could he not be? ]

[ cyno's tongue is warm and slick as it slips into his mouth, and tighnari whines gently against him, his expression tight as he tilts his head, and parts his lips wide. kissing cyno feels so good, so right, like something he's been waiting for for a lifetime. he can feel the hard heat of cyno's interested cock against him, and it's enough to make him shiver, a soft, pleased sound tumbling from his lips.

this is moving quickly, but.. does that matter? why should it? they've waited a long time, for this. long enough that he doesn't think they need to wait any longer.

rocking his hips again, tighnari at last shoves cyno's shirt up, breaking the kiss only long enough to pull it over his head before he's rushing in to seek his mouth again, one hand dropping to begin working at cyno's belt. ]
