PERSONALITY

Tighnari is a direct, knowledgeable, and kind young man, forest ranger in the large National Park outside of the city, though he occasionally returns to the city to give lectures and seminars at the local University. At first glance he can seem a little abrasive, especially if those he's speaking with are trying, in some way, but he is actually very kindhearted, and has natural caretaker instincts.

He's a botanist with an interest in mycology, so he is highly intelligent, and has a very vested interest in plants and nature. Though Tighnari might be very stern when he feels the need to be, he's a very loyal friend and mentor, who cares deeply about the people around him, even when they might vex him, though he can sometimes be a bit of a loner by nature. He's upfront, confident, inquisitive, adaptable, and makes friends easily. Despite how brusque he may seem on the outside, he is quite popular with his peers, and though he can be impatient with those who test him, he is otherwise very warm, and quick to help at any given time.

Tighnari is also a little too curious for his own good, often exposing himself to hallucinogenic toxins while studying mushrooms in the wild, or trying new things when concocting his oils and tinctures.

APPEARANCE

Tighnari is a short young man, standing at around 5'4 (not counting the ears!), with medium length black/dark green hair, and bright eyes that fade from a warm brown to a light teal. As a hybrid creature, Tighnari has many features that resemble a fennec fox, including tall, mobile ears, a long, fluffy tail, finger and toebeans, short claws, and sharp fangs. There are stripes of bright lime green in his hair, and his tail bears a gradient from black to deep forest green. His skin is fair, and he dresses comfortably in many bright colors. Outside of the game, in real life, Tighnari looks exactly the same, but without the ears and tail.

Tighnari is also highly intelligent, having achieved a phD in botany while quite young, as well as masters' in mycology and environmental science, all before the age of 25. He has incredible knowledge of plants and mushrooms, and he's skilled at harvesting and studying. He also has keen hearing and a good sense of smell.

BACKGROUND

Tighnari was born in Morocco, but his parents' work with the environment took them all over the globe, and he was not raised in any one place, but all over the world, through the Middle East and Asia, Europe, even the Americas. With an entomologist for a father and a paleontologist for a mother, he had a definite propensity for the sciences from a very young age. As he grew, he found himself interested in the natural sciences, and invested himself in the health of the ecosystem around him. After high school, Tighnari settled in London to attend undergrad school, then later, grad school as well. He currently works as a forest ranger in Scotland.

His best friend is a man named Cyno, whom he met very young during his time in Egypt. The two remained pen-pals after their separation, and then close online friends as well, with occasional visitations, when affordable. He is also very close with Kaveh, whom he attended school with, and who helped him through some very difficult times in his life. Cyno, an avid gamer, invited him to try the new game Fragment with him, as a way for them to spend time together despite the distance between them.
